Ok so my thoughts on the hand:
I raised pre flop and a player I haven't played much with flats and everyone else folds. At this point I do know he has been a small looser over a decent sample and I know he likes to play many pots and can have a wide range when he flats pre-flop.
Ok so this hand all started to get fancy when I miss clicked my cbet on the flop and bet 50 into a pot of $385. My opponent then decides to raise this. My thoughts on his raise were basic and felt that my opponent either had a massive hand, draw type hand or air when he done this. I felt that it was my cbet which induced this raise so I was leaning more towards the air range in my head, I knew I didn't look strong and could really have given up this pot here. I decided to go with my thoughts that my opponent could have air and decided to 3bet my opponent to define his range more. Once my opponent flats, it is really hard to see what my opponent could have. I in my head narrowed his range down to some str8 draws, flush draws, qx, some 10x but feel a lot of opponents would flat 10x to the cbet or if decided to take this aggressive line with 10x he would fold to the 3bet given I would likely have him beat or a big draw in my range, I do feel most opponents would give up with 10x bar A10, K10. I don't think my opponent would ever flat a set or 2 pair on this board, with this action, this deep. (Note most of my thought process is done on the flop)
I then bet half pot on the turn. My opponent again decides to flat, and pretty quickly at that. I feel I am now myself repping a very polarized range, he can have some 9xs and kj is his range which now beat my ace high, I feel a lot of KJ combos and J8 combos (gut shot) on the flop would flat the 50 cbet instead of re raising so I am actually comfortable thinking he didn't have a made straight yet but he definitely could have some 9x's which I plan on him folding on the river.
When the river falls like this everything changes. The second pair, one of the least likely hands my opponent could be holding, pairs. I feel it is a bad card for me to bet but I feel as I am representing such a polarized range, I need to be betting any river here with a merged range of nuts, air and show down hands. I don't like check calling as I feel I would be more likely to be check calling a Q and would rather bet to fold out a bunch of hands that beat me and I guess for meta game purposes I preferred betting. I really am trying to persuade my opponent I have a nut hand. I bet and my opponent goes all in, one of the least things I expected him to do, in fact I was so shocked I almost snap folded. As I am clearly not a normal in the head, I started to go over each street and using my time bank to its full use, I started thinking about all the hands he could take this line with and summed up that my opponent was more likely to have air more times than he had a straight or a 10, which would have been second pair on the flop. Also, for him to go all in and not to flat call he is now representing an even thinner range because even 10s would now flat call and even straights might flat call given, I am so polarized. Both hands that he was trying to represent wouldn't have played the flop the way he did but even if he did have a hand he was trying to represent he would be more likely to flat call given the size of the pot and again as I previously said, the fact that I am polarized makes little sense for my opponent to ship all in with anything but the nuts for value here and given he flatted the flop 3bet it is hard for my opponent to have a house, the only hand my opponent really does rep is 10 9 and even that's not so much in his range so we are now left with total air, flush draws and nuts, but flush draws being the biggest part of his range given the way every street was played. So, I thought, thought, thought and called, he indeed had the flush draw, we proudly take the pot in and on to the next one.

A few minutes later I played in the new biggest pot of my entire life. Not so interesting but I will post it for you to see anyways. :)

*** SUMMARY ***

No need to talk about the hand as it is a no brainer my actions.

I will be doing a big blog update on my time back in London over the next week so I look forward to doing that. My Xmas will consist of a lot of drinking, some graffiti (legally of course) and playing poker. If I see anyone out that has read my blog please don't be shy to let me know you have read it, I am interested who is actually reading this thing. I would like to thank all of you who read this regularly and hope you all have a great Xmas.
